Punk music origins are in London, its also the place most suited for the Punky Ferret’s story episodes. However, some characters & illustrations have roots much closer to home. The name for “The Rottenrow Market” was gleamed from a former Maternity Hospital in the City. The Market entrance & buildings are based around a section of the famous “Barras Market” in the City’s East end. Punky’s sharp wit & humor also has a distinct Glaswegian edge to it.
