DescriptionAndrew. D. Chumbley’s ONE: The Grimoire of the Golden Toad first appeared in 2000. It is the working magical record of the author’s 1999 undertaking of the ritual known as ‘The Waters of the Moon’, the East Anglian Toad-Bone rite which was said to convey power over horses. The rite served as as a personal harrowing for Chumbley, and an evolutionary catalyst for the Cultus Sabbati. Originally limited to 77 standard copies and 3 special edition copies, it quickly sold out and has been out of print since.On the anniversary of Chumbley’s passing, Xoanon is pleased to announce that the second edition of the work is now available. Faithful to the text of the 2000 edition, it has been released in three editions: a standard hardcover in blue cloth and black dust jacket limited to 777 copies; a deluxe edition in quarter blue goatskin and slipcase, limited to 77 copies, and a slipcased special edition in full blue goatskin with inset toadskin panel, limited to 7 copies distributed to the brethren of the Cultus Sabbati. The limited editions also include a small letterpress talisman imprinted with a prayer to Sabatraxas, spirit of the Toad, never before published. The text of ONE also includes a short Afterword by Magister Akarais Hran-Issiyah and the Magistra Illithiya Shemhiya of the Cultus Sabbati.
