BELLINGER  FLY REEL, 3 3/16” MARK I, LHW This is a Bellinger trout reel, 3 3/16” in diameter with a 7/8” spool width, nominally 3 ¼”.  The Mark I reels have an aluminum frame, spool, spindle, handle, and foot.  Counterweight, handle hub, and oil cap are nickel silver. The rims are flat and raised 1/16” on the handle side.  The reel is set up for LHW, but can be converted.  The tension on the pawl is fixed, but can be changed by changing the pawl spring.  Comes with embossed black leather bag. Condition is very good, used.  There are some nicks on the back plate rim, as shown in the photos.  I believe these could be diminished with judicious use of a jeweler’s file, but I would not try this at home.  Full provenance on request.  (20)
