Monstera sp. ‘Bocas del Toro’

Description Native to: Panama Monstera sp. ‘Bocas del Toro’ is a shingling plant that has a similar growth habit to Monstera dubia. The foliage tends to be more asymmetric and round than that of dubia, and has a smooth, glossy appearance. We don’t know how large the leaves get when the plant matures. In our experience, they have stayed small (~1.5″) in vivarium conditions. Requires moderate to high humidity.   To get a cutting started, keep the node(s) in contact with damp substrate like sphagnum moss, without covering the entire stem. It will root well into substrates like ABG or potting mix, but we recommend using sphagnum moss along with it to keep the plant from drying out. Please feel free to message us if you have any concern or question about rooting a cutting.
