E.W. EDWARDS “SPECIAL” 9’ BAMBOO FLY ROD RESTORED Beautiful and conscientious restoration of an Edwards “Special” with apparently no fishing use since restoration.  Rod features NS reel seat cap and ring over hardwood spacer, 5 ¼” cork, maroon silk tipped gold, hook keeper, redone Edwards signature, agate striper in Mildrum style frame, NS Edwards ferrules, blued American twist snake guides replacement bag, and period-correct tube. Ferrules measure 18/64” and 12/64”; weight is 5 ounces on my scale.  Should be a 6-weight rod, but I have not cast it. The finish on this rod is noteworthy, as is the attention to details of the reel seat, wraps, and hardware.
