This very much does the job I need it to do. It keeps my ferrets from pooping over the edge of the tray since they think they must aim for the sky each and every time giving my newly painted wall a fresh crusty paint job. I do have a couple that pull on the edges and try to get behind it which is a bother, cause the sides come unattached easily. The clips go over and under the tray which is what holds it into place on all sides. The food that they spill out gets trapped under the edges so I have to be sure and lift when cleaning to get all the bits out. And once a week I remove the tray to clean trapped hair and mess behind and under. But the clips catch on the bars of the cage making it difficult to get out. Although I’d rather it be difficult to get out than easy for them to disassemble. I clean the cages daily with a vinegar, bleach and water spray and after time the coating is coming off and it rusts. This is becoming a big issue and I’m worried they are going to lick the rust. May try another option or brand of I can find one. I’m fine with it being flimsy, I just rather it not rust. I have 4 cages so the cost is up there for these. Please find a fix for that. Be sure to measure your tray. It fits well if you do. All in all, I much rather have these than not.
