COMPOSITION It is a yellow or bright yellow colored, clear solution with a specific odor. Each ml contains 100 mg of fipronil and 120 mg of (S)-methoprene. INDICATIONS FOR USE Fiproes Cat Spot-on Solution is used in cats; in the treatment and control of flea (Ctenocephalides sp.), ticks (Rhipicephalus sp., Dermacentor sp., Ixodes sp.), biting lice (Felicola subrostratus); for the control of allergic dermatitides (FAD); to prevent the development of eggs, larvae and pupa of fleas. Multiple applications on a monthly basis are advised to eliminate mites properly. Fiproes Cat Spot-on Solution is effective for 6 weeks on mature, larvae or pupa forms of flea and flea eggs and 1 month against ticks depending on the infestation intensity. Newly arrived fleas are killed within 24 hours. ADMINISTRATION ROUTES AND AMOUNTS Unless recommended otherwise by the veterinarian, general pharmacological doses in cats are 5 mg/kg for fipronil and 6 mg/kg for (S)-methoprene. Drug application is performed by dropping onto the skin locally. Part the coat on the back of the animal at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades until the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze 1 – 2 drops or along a short line onto the skin. To avoid the coat becoming greasy, pay attention to hair not to get wet with the solution. If this kind of case occurs, the stickiness will disappear within 24 hours after the application. WITHDRAWAL PERIOD(S) Do not use in animals producing food or milk for human consumption.
