Many mills (like Meridian Mill House) take pride in sourcing domestically for quality and traceability. SW = Superwash → The wool has been treated so it won’t felt as easily, and it’s more resistant to shrinking. This makes the finished yarn easier to wash and care for. 21.5 Micron → “Micron” measures the thickness of each individual fiber. The smaller the number, the finer (softer) the wool. 21.5 microns is considered a fine wool, similar to many Merino yarns. Very soft, definitely next-to-skin friendly (not scratchy). 50% Alpaca Alpaca fiber is naturally soft, silky, and has a bit of sheen. It adds drape and warmth when blended with wool, since it has less “bounce” than wool but more flow.
